What is NADCA and why do they recommend a licenced contractor?

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was formed in 1989 as a non-profit association of companies engaged in the cleaning of HVAC systems. Its mission was to promote source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning and to establish industry standards for the association.

Hawn Heating and Air Conditioning is an active member of NADCA. This is important for you, our customers to know. The duct cleaning services we provide are of the highest professional calibur due to the level of training we've received from NADCA.

NADCA is the only organization the has a prescribed standard for duct cleaning. Hawn Heating and Air Conditioning must meet that standard on every job in order to maintain our membership.

Why Duct Cleaning?

Airborne contaminants are drawn into your duct system every time your furnace or air conditioner runs. These contaminants collect in the ducts of your home and directly effect the quality of your indoor air. Dirty Ducts often contain the following contaminants:

Most of these unhealthy contaminants are microscopic and therefore can not be captured by traditional fiberglass filters. The Hawn Duct Cleaning Process utilizes superior HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor) filtering which captures 99.97% of harmful particulates. It captures contaminants 1/300th the diameter of a human hair and returns filtered “hospital grade” air to your home.

How the Process Works

A high powered vacuum and specially designed air compressor tools go straight to the source of contamination. The HEPA vacuum unit is attached directly to the duct system at the furnace which allows the most efficient and cleanest way to remove contaminants.

21" access holes are drilled into the air ducts through which air hose equipped with 360 degree high velocity nozzles are snaked throughout the entire duct system. These hoses are then connected to a compressor which forces loose all debris accumulatd on the interior duct surfaces.
